Terms of use

Draft. Plain-language placeholder for review by a lawyer before Dither World is promoted. Not legal advice. Items in [brackets] still need to be filled in.

1. Who we are

dither.world is operated by [company name], registered in [jurisdiction] ("we", "us"). By using dither.world you agree to these terms.

2. Who can use it

You must be at least 18 and allowed to use services like this where you live. dither.world is not available to residents of [restricted countries and regions].

3. What dither.world is

dither.world is a website for a fantasy card game on Robinhood Chain. The game runs on two public smart contracts: DitherCards (ERC-1155 collectible cards of crypto Twitter people, each priced by its own bonding curve) and DitherLeague (48-hour rounds where you pick cards to rise and fall). The website only reads those contracts and helps you send transactions from your own wallet.

4. Cards and prices

A card's price is set by its bonding curve: the next card costs 0.00025 ETH plus 0.00001 ETH for every card already sold. Buying moves the price up and selling moves it down, so prices can fall as well as rise. Cards are collectibles; they are not shares, loans or claims on any person or company.

5. Fees

Every buy and sell pays an 8% fee: 4% to the prize pot, 2% to the person on the card (paid in $DITHER), and 2% to the protocol. Fees are taken by the contract and shown before you confirm.

6. Rounds and prizes

Entering a round is free, but you must lock cards worth at least 0.001 ETH; they return after your last entered round ends. Prizes come only from trading fees and are paid in $DITHER after each round is settled, with a 6-hour review window before claims open. In version 1 the settlement is calculated by us from public on-chain data.

7. Before launch

Buying, selling and rounds only open once $DITHER graduates on Pons, which the contract checks by itself. Until then you can browse but not trade.

8. People on the cards

The people on the cards are not affiliated with dither.world unless they say so. They can claim their 2% by signing in with X, and they can ask for their card to be removed: new buys stop, and holders can still sell back.

9. Your wallet and keys

You use your own wallet. We never hold your cards or ETH and never ask for your private keys or seed phrase. Transactions on a blockchain can't be reversed.

10. Things you can't do

  • Break the law or use dither.world to launder money.
  • Manipulate card prices or rounds, for example with coordinated or wash trading.
  • Attack, overload or reverse-engineer the service.
  • Use it from a place where it isn't allowed.

11. No warranty

dither.world is provided as is. The contracts have not yet had an independent audit. We don't promise it will always be available or error-free, and we're not liable for losses from using it, to the extent the law allows.

12. Changes

We may update these terms and will change the date at the top when we do. [Governing law and contact address.]
