Risk disclosure

Draft. Plain-language placeholder for review by a lawyer before Dither World is promoted. Not legal advice. Items in [brackets] still need to be filled in.

Read this before you buy a card or enter a round. You can lose money.

Prices can fall

A card's price depends only on how many of it are held. If people sell, the price falls, and the curve pays back less than you paid. Every buy and sell also pays an 8% fee, so a quick round trip loses at least that.

Rounds

Most lineups don't win a prize: only the top 10% do. With fewer than 20 lineups a round pays nothing and its pot rolls over. Locked cards can't be sold until your last entered round ends.

$DITHER

Prizes and the card people's share are paid in $DITHER, a token traded on Pons. Its price can move a lot, and the amount you receive depends on its price when a round settles.

Smart contracts

The game runs on smart contracts that haven't yet had an independent audit. Bugs, or problems with Robinhood Chain, Pons or the swap used to buy $DITHER, could cause losses. In version 1 the round results and the swap are run by us; a 6-hour review window lets anyone check a settlement before claims open.

Not advice

Nothing on dither.world is investment, financial or tax advice. The people on the cards don't endorse the game unless they say so.
